Account & Finance Executive
Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Accounts & Finance Executive to oversee and manage financial operations in our Cyber Security company. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial planning, compliance, reporting, and process optimization. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and contribute to strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Track and manage monthly expenses to ensure adherence to budgets and financial goals.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting key financial metrics, and assessing the overall financial health of the company.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
- Taxation & Compliance:
- Oversee GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, and tax consultants during audits and assessments.
- Budgeting & Strategic Planning:
- Develop, monitor, and update the annual budget in collaboration with senior management.
- Provide financial forecasts and analysis to support business strategies and goals.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Expense Management:
- Review and manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Invoice Creation & Client Follow-ups:
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up with clients on outstanding payments and ensure that dues are cleared within the stipulated timeframe.
- Coordinate with the sales and project management teams to verify billing details.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline financial operations.
- Stay updated on financial and tax-related regulations.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and updated financial documentation, including payment receipts, invoices, and tax records.
- Stay updated on government policies, tax exemptions, subsidies, and incentives relevant to the IT and cybersecurity sectors. Ensure compliance with government schemes and regulatory frameworks to maximize financial benefits for the organization.
- Negotiation & Payment process:
- Assist in the selection of vendors and service providers by evaluating financial aspects such as cost, payment terms, and financial reliability.
- Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favourable terms and conditions for the company.
- Oversee the payment process for vendors, ensuring that payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all invoices are reconciled with purchase orders and contracts before processing payments.
- Ensure that payment requests are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of payment transactions for audit and financial reporting purposes.
- Review of Legal Documents (NDAs, Contracts, etc.):
- Review and analyze non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), contracts, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with legal teams to clarify terms and ensure financial interests are adequately protected.
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts and Finance, preferably in the IT/tech industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
